About
Photography has been in my life for more than 50 years, having received a camera (a Samoca 35) as a thirteenth birthday present. I took some basic classes in college but have no formal training. My equipment has ranged from simple to complex, from film to digital now, but throughout i look for the nonobvious in everyday things and for that spark in people. I am now all digital, using mainly a Leica M9 but sometimes a Canon 5D mkii or even one of several point and shoots.

Some of my work hangs at my law firm where it has had to pass muster with a fairly sophisticated art committee. Most hangs in my homes and in the homes of friends.

Hi Alan,

thank you for a fascinating picture-experience.

It was quite interesting getting an insight into your choice of subjects, your compositional gifts and your colour-sensibility.

Amongst your many outstanding pictures there were several, that made a special impression on me:

A. The atmosphere and humanity in the four black and white portraits, that introduces your slideshow
B. The tone in the beach-pictures and in the photos: ’Monk in the Door’, the Paris/France-pictures, the café-photo taken on 4 mar 10 og the two ’Mystic Boat’ og ’Blue, yellow, red-study’ (my titel) also taken on 4 mar 10.

All in all: Very inspirering!
